External Description:

Your Role:  

This position diagnoses mechanical, electrical, or instrumental problems, and makes necessary repairs for all facility equipment and buildings. A sense of urgency in terms of maximizing production and minimizing down time is necessary in this type of manufacturing environment. The role performs preventive maintenance duties including equipment checking, parts replacement, lubrication, vibration analysis, assists in procurement of parts and supplies, has the ability to prioritize multiple work request, maintains, required quality systems documentation, Coordinates outside contractors for maintenance projects, assists in the design and construction of engineering projects within the site and performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor. 
The Maintenance department is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the 24/7 facility including building, utility and equipment for offices, laboratories, manufacturing, and warehousing. 

  

Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or GED 

  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic or calibration technician in an industrial setting 

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Computer skills or aptitude including MS Office, and similar programs 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills 

  • Good organization and communication skills 

  • Expected to lift or move a minimum of 50-100 pounds 

  • Expected to work on off-shifts, overtime, and weekends
